Farm to Table
The Farm to Table Initiative began with a vision to provide fresher and healthier meals to Berkeley County Meals on Wheels recipients. We partner with multiple farmers in our community and purchase fresh produce from them weekly. This allows us to serve fresh food to our clients while also supporting our local farmers. In the picture to the left, you can see a glimpse into a few of the vegetables we receive.
This initiative serves as a win-win for both local West Virginia farmers and the homebound clients that are receiving meals!
Our Farmers
We collaborate with 6 local farms in the Martinsburg area to provide fresh, nutritious and delicious meals. Two of the farms, Cedar Ridge Hydroponics and Hidden Lane Farm, provide us with produce year round using hydroponics and hot tunnels!

Because Meals on Wheels delivery may be the only meal our homebound clients receive in a day, we are dedicated to making sure the meal is full of fresh nutrients."

Without our sponsors, we would not be able to provide such amazing programs that benefit both Meals on Wheels recipients and the community at large.

"Farm to Table is just like eating at home years ago. It is like going to grandma's garden for all the fresh veggies. I can't forget granddaddy's good cherries and apples. Farm to Table brings back good memories and it tastes just as good."
